Peshawar: According to news reports on December 27, the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has changed the PDA Auction Regulation, 2021 to extend the lease period for a number of the authority's properties.
The initiative was made public during the 10th PDA board meeting, which was presided over by Mahmood Khan, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).The council also authorised plans for the improvement of its different properties using a funding scheme for public-private partnerships.
At the meeting, the following choices were made:
- Amendments to the PDA Auction Regulation for 2021 to extend the current lease duration for a variety of PDA-owned stores, halls, offices, apartments, parking lots, restaurants, cafes, sasta bazaars, wedding venues, and other facilities.
- Updated PDA budget projections for 2021–2022 and 2022–2023
- Updated New Peshawar Valley branding
- Adoption of updated PDA employee pay scale and benefits
The chief minister has tasked PDA officials with streamlining their operations in order to foster private investment and carry out development plans in an effective and long-lasting manner.
