1. Site Leveling
Before the construction begins, the initial step is to clear out the ground from any debris or tree roots so that the ground is leveled and ready for construction. This will mark the beginning of the physical work on the plot.
2. Conduction Soil Test
To start the construction, it is important to analyze the quality of soil on the plot. Different textures and qualities will require different treatment for construction. Let’s assume that the soil is hard, this will require heavy machinery to break it down whereasin case the soil is too lose, deeper excavation will be required.
3. Layout Floor Plans
The architect will provide you with the floor plans of how the building is to be designed. Let him know your expectation or changes that you want to make as it is difficult to change them later on. Make sure to give a go ahead to the design as the building will be made based on those designs.
To start construction, excavation methods will be conducted on the site. The plot will be dug up and all unnecessary earthwork will be removed.
The foundation work will eventually start .The base for the construction will be made using concrete that will be used as a solid frame to structure the building on.
6. Plinth Beam and Slab
After the foundation is laid, the plinth beam work will be reinforced. These slabs make sure that there are no cracks between the walls and the foundation thus it helps to enhance the quality of the construction.
7. Structure Columns
Once the slabs have been placed, the initial start of dividing and making walls as separators begins as columns are constructed over the slab level giving a visualrepresentation to the framework to the layout of the floor plans.
8. Brick and Masonry Work
Once the columns are set, brick and mortar is used to do masonry work according to the architectural drawings that were finalized in the start. Cement and sand is mixed to create textures and mold the walls.
9. Roof Structure
Once the brick work is done, the slabs are once again reinforced to solidify the structure and make sure that the detailing of the components is complete.
10. Electricity and Plumbing
It is time to install the electrical wires and do the plumbing work with in the walls so that they can be concealedproperly. The edges of pipes are left out so that the electrical work can be completed later on .
11. Polishingthe Exterior
It is time to finish the exterior works to enhance the look by giving it some textures, waterproofing the house and fitting in the tiles. The options are limitless.
Lastly, interior work is to be down .Place in the furniture, design and redesign the spatial layout.Decide the color schemes and personalize everything according to your needs to make thehouse more lively.
Follow these simple guidelines and make sure that the construction process becomes easy for you.
