Islamabad: Nobody is unaware of the massive unlawful commercial building construction on Islamabad's Park Road, which has cost billions of rupees. However, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has finally made the decision to take action and has sent final notifications to more than 39 properties on Park Road.
There is a 15-day window in which these buildings must regularize their development or risk legal consequences. In accordance with the notices, if the buildings are not regularised by the deadline, the CDA would take drastic measures, such as sealing or demolishing them.
Any damages that might be sustained throughout the processes will also be held accountable to the owners.Private schools, banks, clinics, hotels, and cash and carry shops are among the commercial enterprises that are now running out of a number of illegal buildings in Islamabad.
The CDA is still committed to upholding the law and putting an end to unauthorised construction throughout the city.
