
ISLAMABAD: The first-ever "International Housing and Real Estate Expo 2022" will be organized by the Ministry of Housing and Works in collaboration with the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).The four-day event, which is planned to take place from December 8–11 at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad, aims to promote the real estate industry in the nation and ensure that everyone has a safe place to live.
A Housing Ministry Official told the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) that people involved in the real state and housing industry from all over Pakistan will participate in the expo. . He further continued by mentioning that stalls would be allocated to real estate developers, housing organisations, real estate advisors, and businesses involved in the production of building materials.
The Ministry representative emphasised that the main goal of the expo is to increase people's awareness of the country's legal real estate. According to him, stalls will only be given to housing developments and businesses that have Non-Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the relevant authorities, have the government's approval, and are taxpayers.
Furthermore, Iftikhar Ali Shallwani, secretary of housing and works, asserted that the construction industry is the largest employer because it connects many other industries. He stated,"It is a fundamental right of everyone to have secure and safe housing and the Ministry tends to organize the event to achieve this goal."
The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF), and other significant builders, developers, and marketing firms of the nation would have a number of stalls set up, according to the secretary. He added that ambassadors from several nations had also been invited to attend the next expo.
