Lahore: On November 12, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) announced on its official Facebook page that it has notified the allottees/plot owners of the LDA Avenue-1 housing project that the deadline for paying any pending instalments or development fees had been extended.
Until December 31, 2023, LDA Avenue-1 allottees and plot owners whose properties are free of transfer or possession discrepancies (A-Category) may submit their dues with a markup. The properties that have recently been cleared by courts, encroachment, talks, or have been cleared in the ballot of 2022 are known as B-Category plots, and the defaulters with these plots are required to clear their payments by December 31, 2024.
It was emphasised that because the authority has already granted several extensions and won't grant any more, so the defaulters should clear their debt. Otherwise, the judgement issued on October 14 and the applicable provision of the allotment letter will apply, and the allotments of the plots will be cancelled and returned to authority. Defaulters are urged to take responsibility and pay their debts on time because the cancelled allotments cannot be undone.
