ISLAMABAD: In a major move, the city managers have relaxed the ban on family property transfers requiring Non-Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the Capital Development Authority's (CDA) building control office. (According to a news source)
The Building Control Section (BCS) of CDA does not require a NOC for familial transfers of property. The purpose of this activity is to help the public. According to the new family transfer regulation, the intended transferee will simply be required to submit an affidavit, and he will be responsible for removing it within three months of any violations.
The CDA board also ruled that, aside from family moves, the NOC of BCS is required, but that its validity has been increased from three months to one year.
The board also approved a new policy regarding the approval of the transfer of a number of old residences in Islamabad that had been transferred via the registration, according to a CDA deputy director.
After transfer from CDA, the value of citizens' property will increase, and the civic organization will make a tidy profit from the transfer fee.
