According to news reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan conducted balloting for low-cost apartments being built under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) in Farash Town-Alipur, Islamabad, on Friday 4TH March. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Khan stated that the government is working tirelessly to fulfil the dream of the underprivileged to own a home. The prime minister directed the relevant authorities to ensure transparency in the voting process. He went on to say that the high-rise erection model must be adopted to accommodate the country's growing population and preclude cities from expanding haphazardly.
It is worth noting that the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) are building 4,400 apartments in Farash Town. In April of last year, the PM laid the groundwork for the project. The apartment's price was set at PKR 3.2 million, according to the details. The government has stated that PKR 300,000 will be provided, bringing the per-unit cost of these apartments down to PKR 2.9 million.
